Q.How do I know what kind of light bulb to use in my tiffany table lamp?
A. Since you may have many different areas of your home where you wish to put a table lamp or floor lamp, it is important that you choose the right bulb and brightness. The brightness or output of a light is called Lumens.
*For an INTIMATE setting, we suggest a smaller table lamp, such as our accent lamps, with a low lumen. *For a task or desk area we suggest a focused lamp, such as our desk table lamps, with higher lumen.
Email us through Contact Us or call personally at 1-800-863-9016 for your specific needs. Either myself or Pam will be glad to help you determine what lamp and lumen will fit for your home lighting needs.
Q.How do I care for my new Meyda Tiffany floor lamp?
A. Caring for your floor lamps, table lamps, chandeliers, sconces, and home lighting products.
*Before cleaning any lamp shade or lamp disconnect the power source (unplug from outlet)
*To clean table lamps, floor lamps, sconces, or chandeliers made of opaque stained glass, art glass or jadestone, as well as most metal lamp bases and fixture frames, apply a lemon oil-based furniture polish to a soft cloth and wipe gently.
*To clean shades made of mica or fabric, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth or a feather duster.
*To clean table lamps, floor lamps, torchiere lamps, pendants and other home lighting products made of beveled or transparent glass, apply a household glass cleaner to a soft cloth and wipe gently.
*For fixtures such as pendants, chandeliers, or flushmounts, hanging near cooking areas in kitchen, that may have layers of heavy greasy buildup or dirt, we have found Mr.Clean Top Job works best. For cleaning apply to a soft cloth and wipe gently. After cleaning reapply lemon oil-based furniture polish to the shade, for best results. *To clean Lithophane porcelain table lamps or floor lamps, apply soft cloth with soapy water. If stain exists on non-colored area, you can apply scouring powder. Clean and dry with soft cloth, like a fine piece of china.
CAUTION: Hold the table lamp or floor lamp securely when cleaning because liquid makes porcelain slippery.
Q. Are the table lamps and floor lamps featured on your site real tiffany?
A.While the original and truest Tiffany fixtures and lamps were made by Leuis Comfort Tiffany, the creator of true "Tiffany", lamps produced by Tiffany Studios, companies such as "Dale Tiffany", Paul Sahlin, Meyda Tiffany, and Robert Louis Tiffany are all high quality and of the finest reproduction works of art but are not the original Leuis Comfort tiffany lamp.
Original Leuis Comfort tiffany lamps are generally found in museums and private collections.
You are not likely to find a true "Leuis Comfort Tiffany" Lamp in most of our homes. The originals are priced in the 100's of thousands of dollars.
Leuis Comfort Tiffany passed away in 1933 at the age of 85.
The Meyda Tiffany table lamps, floor lamps, torchiere lamps, and all other home lighting products we feature on our site are beautifully crafted using high quality techniques similar to the old original tiffany lamps. Meyda uses real cut glass, beveled glass, mica, porcelain,...
We feature only the finest and highest quality table lamps and home lighting products on the market. Our wide variety of home lighting products including our table lamps and floor lamps are true tiffany styled and fine crafted lamps.
In todays market "Tiffany" lighting is considered a style or type of lighting. It is absolutely enchanting and will offer you the opportunity to pass it through generations.
Q.How do I keep my Hampshire Pewter desk lamp and table lamp looking new?
A.When caring for your pewter desk and table lamp:
*Hand wash the desk and table lamp with mild soap and towel dry. Do not put it into the dishwasher.
*We recommend cleaning your desk and table lamp once a year with a good quality pewter cleaner, like our own Hampshire Pewter Wash. *After cleaning your table lamp apply dry cornstarch with a soft cloth or sponge. Rub the cornstarch all over it then just dust off with a soft cloth. If you get scratches on your pewters finish, you can blend them into the patina by rubbing the scratch with a very fine steel wool, or a presoftened "Scotch Brite" pad.
With a minimum of care, your Hampshire Pewter desk lamps, tiffany table lamps, candlesticks, and oil lamps will last for years to come. Pass these artfully crafted candlesticks, table lamps and oil lamps through your family generation after generation.

A. There are a lot of beautiful tiffany lamps and home lighting products on the market today.
Some include tiffany table lamps, floor lamps, torchiere and accent lamps as well as other home lighting varieties. We choose our tiffany and all of the lamps featured on our site by their quality, beauty, and integrity. We work closely with the best manufacturers, those who offer us the same personal attention, consideration and high quality that we offer you now.
Q.Should I keep my table lamps on all the time?
A. We all want to save a little money! Right?
So we ask...
If I'm going out and then right back to the room do I turn the light off and then back on when I return?
It depends on the type of bulb and how long it will be before you need the light again.
If the bulb is a fluorescent type, leave it on if you will need it again within 20 minutes. If the bulb is an incandescent bulb, turn it off when not in use for over a few minutes.
We think you'll like what you see.
